Alabama State hosts Mercer on Friday
The Lady Hornets face Auburn on Sunday
MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Alabama State University soccer team continues non-conference play this week, returning home to face Mercer on Friday at 7 pm.
Alabama State (0-4-0) concludes the weekend with a 6 pm kick against Auburn on Sunday.
The Lady Hornets enter the match after dropping their last contest on August 31 to Presbyterian, 1-3. Freshman Janae Brown scored her first collegiate goal in the match.
Alabama State and Mercer will meet for the first time since 2011, when the Lady Bears defeated Alabama State 4-0. The Lady Hornets and in-state foe Auburn were slated to meet in September of last year but the match was cancelled due to the remnants of Hurricane Irma that affected the area.
Admission is free at the ASU Soccer Complex on Friday and the game Sunday can be seen here.
