Do all fairy tales have happy endings?

The Cal Golden Bears are hoping so.

After two years of subpar results, the Bears are living in a dream, and have no plans on waking up anytime soon.

“It’s been a fairy tale,” California center back and captain Steve Birnbaum said about the season. “It’s just been unreal.”

Following a 3-2 overtime win over UCLA on Sunday, California already surpassed the amount of wins the team had last year (eight) and triple the amount of wins from two seasons ago (three).

If the players’ dreams are to come true, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
