IMS Recognized by United Soccer Coaches
KANSAS CITY, MO – The United Soccer Coaches announced its Team Academic Award winners for the 2018-19 school year. The honor recognizes exemplary performance in the classroom by student-athletes.
Seven men's programs from the MAAC were honored; the Iona College men's soccer team grade point average of 3.22 was the fifth highest among all of the league's honorees.
Since 2009, the Maroon & Gold have earned the distinction seven times, and this marks the second straight season the team has been honored. In order to be recognized, a program must post a team GPA of 3.0 or higher for the academic year. The Gaels were among 258 different programs that had both their men's and women's teams honored.
