Fort Myers, Fla. – Outgunned in their first conference road contest of the season, the Lipscomb women’s soccer team fell 2-0 to Florida Gulf Coast on Friday night in Fort Myers, Fla.

The Lady Bisons (2-7-2, 0-3-0 ASUN) were outshot 10-1 by the host Eagles (8-2-2, 3-0-0 ASUN) who scored a goal in each half.

Shannen Wacker put Florida Gulf Coast on the scoreboard in the seventh minute with a shot in the upper-right corner of the goal.

The Lady Bisons lone shot came from the foot of freshman Molly Bray in the 66th minute, landing wide of the goal.

The 1-0 lead would hold until the 69th minute when Wacker again tacked on the insurance goal, receiving the double assist from Ally Kasun and Julia Roddar.

Goalkeeper Erin Zerio, who sits 11th all-time on the A-Sun career saves list, had one save pushing her within 19 stops of 10th all-time.

The loss keeps the Lady Bisons searching for their first victory against FGCU as they fall to 0-4-1 all-time.

Lipscomb continues their trip in Florida with a 12 p.m. match at Stetson in DeLand on Sunday. The game can be seen for free on ASun.TV.
