Marist Kicks Off Spring Season Saturday
POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men’s soccer team will play the first of its five spring games when it squares off against Albany at 1:45 p.m. April 2 in the capital city of New York. It will be the second consecutive year the Red Foxes and Great Danes play each other to begin their spring slates.
The Red Foxes have consecutive home contests April 8 and 15 when they host Division II powerhouse Dominican at 7:30 p.m. and Delaware at 7 p.m., respectively, in Tenney Stadium. A game at Fordham is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 22 and Marist will battle Vassar in a local matchup at 3 p.m. April 30.
Delaware played in the Colonial Athletic Association final as a no. 3 seed in 2015, while the fourth seeded Fordham Rams ended their season falling in the Atlantic 10 Championship game.
For the 2016 season, Marist returns seven starters including Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Co-Rookie of the Year Cameron Harr and Head Coach Matt Viggiano will be at the helm for a 10th season.
