A sophomore goalkeeper leads the latest men’s college soccer team of the week.

With its tournament hopes on the line, Tulsa had its back against the wall. Stepping up to save the day was Carlito Saylon, whose three stops against Missouri State and seven more at Florida Atlantic led the team to two 0-0 draws. Those heroics helped the Hurricanes qualify for the conference tournament as the last seed.

Men’s Team of the Week: October 27-November 2
GK: Carlito Saylon, Tulsa - Ten saves and two 0-0 draws against Missouri State and Florida Atlantic helped the Hurricanes earn a postseason berth.
D: D'Andre Pickett, California - Pickett starred by playing all 90 minutes in California’s 1-0 win over No. 5 Stanford, locking down everything that came his way.
D: Nick Dang, Virginia - A late assist from the Tennessee native helped Virginia defeat SMU 1-0 and secure the regular season title.
D: Bryant Mayer, Northwestern - Mayer played all 90 minutes and assisted once as the Huskies upset No. 23 Indiana with a 2-0 victory.
M: Emil Seedorff, Georgia Southern - Georgia Southern was able to win a crucial Sun Belt game 3-1 thanks to Seedorff recording a hat trick versus South Carolina.
M: Jesus Macaya, Longwood - Macaya delivered three assists as Longwood defeated Presbyterian 5-3.
M: Andres Mata, Stetson - A stellar week for the senior began with a second-half equalizer to draw UTRGV 1-1, then a brace to defeat North Florida 4-1.
M: William Kennedy, Lipscomb – Kennedy scored twice and assisted another in a 6-1 rout of Central Arkansas.
F: Marcus Caldeira, West Virginia - Continuing his historic dominance of Marshall, Caldeira scored twice to lead a vital 3-0 victory over the No. 12-ranked Thundering Herd.
F: Brock Kiper, Belmont - Scoring twice and assisting one, Kiper led a 5-1 defeat of Bradley.
F: Brandon Nyagurungo, South Florida - The senior scored three goals and added an assist in a 3-4 loss to Florida Atlantic and a 4-3 win over Florida Atlantic.
