Preece Earns MAAC Student-Athlete Award
EDISON, N.J. – Junior Connor Preece (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. It is the first time in his career he has received the honor.
A member of the 2013 MAAC All-Academic Team, Preece has been one of the driving forces behind Marist men's soccer's 5-3-3 start to the season. He is one of five Red Foxes to start all 11 matches this year, and he has provided stability from the center back position, as he has helped the Red Foxes record five shutouts. He also scored a goal in Marist's conference opener, a 2-0 triumph over Manhattan.
Preece is a Business Administration major and Co-President of Marist's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
The Red Foxes (5-3-3, MAAC 1-1-1) host Quinnipiac (5-4-2, 2-0-1) on Wednesday, Oct. 14. in a pivotal conference match. Kick-off is set for 7 P.M. at Tenney Stadium.
