Ravens Held Scoreless by Gophers
ROSEMONT – The Rosemont women's soccer team (0-3) were held scoreless tonight at the Ravens Athletic Complex by the visiting Goucher Gophers (2-0-1), falling by a score of 2-0.
Goucher's Theresa Antkowiak-Tassone made the first dent in the scoreboard with a goal off of a cross by her teammate Stephanie Budrock from about 10 yards out to put Goucher up 1-0 in the 33rd minute.
Goucher doubled their lead in the 60th minute when Gaby Davis arced a shot over Kaiser to make the lead 2-0.
The Ravens fired six shots, the most in a game this season, with two on goal, but Goucher keeper Julianna Harkavy was equal to the task to keep the Ravens off the board. Rosemont's keeper,Jenna Kaiser, had another solid game in front of the net, making six saves on the eight Goucher shots on goal.
Savannah Widdicomb led the Ravens with three shots while Cassidy Steiner had two and Lindsay Wong added one.
The Ravens get set to hit the road for their next three games, starting with a non-conference game at Wesley College in Dover on Saturday at 7:00pm.
