Preseason is starting in MLS, and the Homegrown signings continue.

Syracuse forward DeAndre Kerr is the latest college standout to return home, signing a contract with Toronto FC through 2024.

“Deandre is another talented Toronto FC Academy player that comes off an excellent season at Syracuse University,” Toronto FC Head Coach and Sporting Director Bob Bradley said in a press release. “We are excited to bring him back to the club with the first team.”

The Canadian youth international played for his country at the 2019 U17 World Cup.

Kerr spent two seasons playing for the Orange, making 27 appearances and scoring 13 goals. Part of the ACC All-Freshman team during the 2020-21 campaign, he was First Team All ACC in 2021.
