Palmer Ault, Indiana (Newcomer)

Slowly but surely, billed as one of the best acquisitions of the transfer portal, Ault is living up to the reputation with four goals and one assist through four appearances for No. 3 Indiana. And with a brutal stretch of games to come, the in-state star will have an opportunity to cement himself in the Player of the Year leaderboard.

Noe Uwimana, Virginia Tech (Newcomer)

The Hokies have stunned the nation, climbing from unranked to No. 7. A pivotal force in this surge is Uwimana, a junior captain who commands the field from right back. The Texas native has played every minute of the three games so far, demonstrating impressive stamina as he surges up and down the pitch while showcasing refined technical skill. Whether supplying an assist against College Cup finalists Marshall or contributing to shutouts versus Canisius and nationally ranked Ohio State, Uwimana has been indispensable.

Zachary Bohane, Stanford

Bohane played 61 minutes against Santa Clara and a full match versus UC Davis, helping the Cardinal win both and move to No. 1 nationally.

Marcus Caldeira, West Virginia

The Mountaineers played just once during the week, and although it was a 0-0 draw, Caldeira has shown enough attacking prowess in the other two matches to remain on the leaderboard.

Daniel D'Ippolito, Fordham

Fordham is not as stacked as some of the other teams on the leaderboard, but D’Ippolito continues to give his team a chance in every game, contributing three of the four goals the Rams have scored so far.

Enzo Dovlo, UNC Greensboro

A well-taken free kick goal and an assist to defeat UCF move Dovlo to six goals and two assists in just four games this year.

Gabriele Galluccio, Kansas City

Although he added an assist versus Northern Illinois, Galluccio exited after just 11 minutes due to injury, which is a development to watch.

Ransford Gyan, Clemson

Gyan has elevated his performance this season, blending quality and consistency with four goals and two assists through three games.

Maximilian Kissel, Vermont

The Catamounts have yet to resemble the national championship team from last year, but luckily, Kissel has compiled four goal contributions to keep the team undefeated.

Donavan Phillip, NC State

Some important plays fail to show up on the stat sheet, and although Phillip did not score or assist versus Florida International, he was the man who won the penalty kick that ultimately became the winner.
