The list is in last-name alphabetical order, starting with any newcomers breaking into the top ten.

Seven Castain, TCU (Newcomer)

Castain, who won the USL W over the summer as league MVP, has continued that fine form into the college season, scoring three and assisting one to lead TCU to a No. 5 ranking. The senior attacker has a clear path to the trophy if the Horned Frogs can maintain their incredible start to the year.

Summer Denigan, Georgia (Newcomer)

After a scoreless opening game to the season, Denigan has caught fire, notching four goals and an assist to lead Georgia into the national rankings. This past week was particularly impressive as the redshirt junior scored one and assisted another in a 2-1 defeat of the defending champions, then struck a brace against Michigan, including a world-class long-range strike. If Georgia can put together a College Cup-contending season, then Denigan could very well become the first Bulldog to win the award.

Macy Blackburn, Texas Tech

Blackburn admittedly had a mixed week. The positive was her assist in helping the Red Raiders defeat Santa Clara, while the low was a shocking 2-0 upset loss to unranked San Francisco. Still, the Texas native is averaging an assist a game and continues to create chances at a magical rate.

Jordynn Dudley, Florida State

The Seminoles have not played since the last leaderboard update.

Izzy Engle, Notre Dame

The Irish played once over the week, and Engle made the most of it, scoring twice to bring her season totals to four goals and one assist in three matches. The sophomore star is currently averaging a goal contribution every 40 minutes, an absurd frequency for one of the best teams in the nation.

Elise Evans, Stanford

Evans helped Stanford continue its stellar start to the season, playing 156 minutes as the Cardinal earned two victories and one clean sheet. With her team ranked first in the nation, the veteran center back is arguably in pole position to win the award.

Mia Minestrella, Duke

The Duke attacker added an assist to her totals in a 3-0 defeat of Northwestern. Minestrella now has two goals and two assists in just 141 minutes of play.

Shae O'Rourke, Tennessee

O’Rourke can not stop scoring for the Volunteers. Her goal against Loyola Marymount means she has scored in all four games the team has played.

Amanda Schlueter, Ohio State

Ohio State has struggled at times, but Schlueter stands out as a steady force who set up the lone goal to topple UNC Wilmington.

Faith Webber, Utah Valley

Although Utah Valley ultimately lost at No. 23 Kansas, Webber was as good as advertised, scoring once in the 3-2 loss. The non-conference schedule is relentless, so the Michigan native will have ample opportunity to boost her Player of the Year resume.
