Akron and Portland retain respective top spots in the new TopDrawerSoccer.com Men’s and Women’s National Rankings released today, while Northwestern’s Matt Eliason and Portland’s Michelle Enyeart earned Player of the Week honors for their performances on the field.

Former U20 Women’s National Team player Enyeart scored four goals in a pair of Pilot victories over the weekend, while Eliason also bagged four tallies as the Wildcats won twice on the week.

In the Tournament 64 and Tournament 48 National Rankings, a running effort to predict the field for the postseason NCAA Tournaments, Akron’s men’s team moves its record to 4-0-0, while Portland is now at 7-0, keeping ahead of fellow undefeated women’s powers North Carolina and Stanford, who come at #s 2 and 3 this week.

Max Alvarez, Sacramento State – scored twice in an upset win over San Francisco.
Andrew Wiedeman, California – scored three goals and recorded three assists in a pair of Golden Bears’ victories.
Jeff Attinella, South Florida – Goalkeeper recorded two shutouts to help the Bulls to a pair of wins.
Matt Eliason, Northwestern – Scored twice in each of Northwestern’s two wins.
Matt Kassel, Maryland – Recorded a pair of assists in the Terrapins’ ACC-opening win over Boston College.
Rich Balchan, Indiana – Midfielder was Defensive MVP in the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament as IU picked up a pair of wins.
Mauro Fuzetti, Michigan – Scored three goals in a pair of Michigan wins.
Evan James, Charlotte – Scored twice as the 49ers earned a win and a draw.
Doug Verhoff, Ohio State – Scored twice in a win for the Buckeyes.
Len Coleman, Georgetown – Veteran defender led the Hoyas to a pair of shutout victories.
Alex Tarnoczi, Denver – Scored three goals and added an assist in a pair of wins for the Pioneers.

Alexandra Elston, Arizona State – Scored a pair of goals in the Sun Devils’ win over San Diego State.
Nicole Doran, St. John's – Keyed a strong defensive effort in the Red Storm’s two wins.
Katrin Omarsdottir, California – Scored three goals in a pair of wins for the Golden Bears.
Myra Sack, Dartmouth – Senior midfielder was named MVP of the Nike Virginia Tournament as the Big Green won two matches.

Julie Morrissey, Cincinnati – Scored four goals in the Bearcats’ wins over Xavier and Eastern Kentucky.

Blakely Mattern, South Carolina – Scored three goals in the Gamecocks’ two wins over the weekend.
