Ray Reid’s Connecticut Huskies won a pair of home matches in Big East play this week, defeating Providence and Pittsburgh to remain #1 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Tournament 48 National Ranking for men’s college soccer. The Huskies continue to edge out North Carolina, New Mexico and Maryland, who all won during the week as well, and Akron who moves past Creighton and back into the top 5 after a pair of victories.
Meanwhile, Charlotte’s Guiseppe Gentile has been named the TopDrawerSoccer.com Men's College Player of the Week. Gentile scored four goals in helping the 49ers to victories this week over Duquesne and St. Bonaventure.
