HS: TeamSnap Boys All-America update

More than 650 fall- and winter-playing high school boys players made the cut for the Fall TeamSnap All-America Watch ListWinter TeamSnap All-America Watch List and  the Spring TeamSnap All-America Watch List

Players, through coaches recommendations and TopDrawerSoccer staff observations, will be added each week to the list as performances warrant. The only players that will be removed from the list will be athletes who are no longer playing high school soccer or sustain a season-ending injury that will take them out of all-state consideration.

The TeamSnap All-America teams are not announced until the end of the school year.

Here are recent performances and updates from players on the TeamSnap All-America Watch Lists:

BOYS

* F Grant Fidler, [Centennial ca-m] (Calif.), Sr.: Fidler was named the Bakersfield area Player of the Year following an amazing offensive season. He scored 32 goals and had 15 assists, meaning he had a hand -- or rather a foot -- in 47 of the team's 48 goals. Fidler has signed with UC Davis.

* F Cole Grogan, Sylacauga (Ala.), Sr.: Grogan's 31st goal of the season gave him 157 for his career, making him the state's all-time leading goal scorer, according to the Alabama High School Athletic Association. Grogan has signed with Union College (Ky.).

* MF William Hayward, South Torrance (Calif.), Sr.: The Brown signee was named Daily Breeze Player of the Year last week. Although he projects as a defender for the Division I team, he played mostly midfield in high school, helping South Torrance to a section final in 2016 and quarterfinals in 2017.

* D Jack Snyder, Westminster Schools (Ga.): Westminster Schools posted a pair of shutouts at the Smoky Mountain Cup, leadin to a runner-up finish to state foe [Brookwood ga-m] (Ga.). Snyder scored a goal and did not allow a goal from any of his marks for the three-game event.

* F Alex Turner, Cardinal Mooney (Fla.), Sr.: Turner netted 43 goals his season senior, earning Herald-Tribune Player of the Year honors. He was named the state's Class 2A Player of the Year as a junior and senior. Turner has signed with Mercer.

NOTE: The fall All-America watch list includes only players from high school teams that compete during the fall season. The inaugural Winter All-America watch list was released in November and includes players from the seven winter-playing states, and the inaugural Spring All-America watch list was released in February.
