Prep High School Soccer Team Rankings

The Prep Top 10 is comprised of schools in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council and the Mid-Atlantic Prep League, as well as other independent prep schools. Schools in these rankings are not eligible for the FAB 50 high school rankings because these programs either field post-grad players or compete in a league with or against teams with post-grad and/or fifth-year athletes.
Rank (Prev.) School Record
1 (1) Berkshire School Sheffield, MA 5-0-0
Berkshire edged Kent School 2-1 to stay perfect.
2 (2) Northwood School Lake Placid, NY 3-0-0
Northwood was idle last week. The team has secured a date with Loomis, a match that will have significant impact on the rankings.
3 (3) Loomis Chaffee Windsor, CT 5-0-1
Michael Suski netted three goals in Loomis' 10-1 win over Trinity Pawling.
4 (4) Avon Old Farms Avon, CT 4-1-2
Avon Old Farms bounced back from a loss to Loomis with wins over Brunswick and Salisbury.
5 (5) South Kent School South Kent, CT 3-0-3
South Kent School defeated Kiski Prep (Pa.) 3-0 but had to settle for a draw with FAB 50-ranked Seton Hall Prep (N.J.) last week.
6 (6) Taft School Watertown, CT 4-0-1
Sammed Bawa scored the first goal in both outings as Taft defeated Deerfield Academy and Phillips Andover.
7 (8)

8 (7)

Worcester Academy Worcester, MA 4-0-2
Worcester was held to a tie with St. Paul's last week.
9 (10)

Groton School Groton, MA 5-0-0
Steve Perchuk, a defender, scored twice -- the second goal was a PK -- as Groton upended reigning Prep Top 10 champion Brooks School last week.
10 Gateway Legacy Christian Florissant, MO 8-2-0
Gateway, a rare Midwest prep program, is transitioning to a more traditional high school program year. In the past, it has only played college programs. This year, it is an associate IHSA member and playing high school teams. This program might even transition to the FAB 50 next year, depending on its enrollment direction. Almost the entire team is players from Brazil. Last week, Gateway defeated Bishop Miege (Kan.) and FAB 50-ranked Peoria Notre Dame at the Go 4 The Goal Fall Classic.
