Prep High School Soccer Team Rankings

The Prep Top 10 is comprised of schools in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council and the Mid-Atlantic Prep League, as well as other independent prep schools. Schools in these rankings are not eligible for the FAB 50 high school rankings because these programs either field post-grad players or compete in a league with or against teams with post-grad and/or fifth-year athletes.

Rivers School starts 2016 right where it left off in 2015 -- at No. 1. Rivers is coming off an undefeated season and has earned the right to start at the top. Rivers clashes with No. 2 Phillips Andover to start the season Sept. 17.

Last year's A champ received a title-winning goal from a junior, and this team is aiming for a repeat -- and perhaps a Prep Top 10 No. 1 ranking. Phillips Andover starts regular season play Sept. 14 against No. 10 Groton.
3 Choate Rosemary Hall Wallingford, CT 0-0-0
Two years in a row now, Choate entered the A bracket playoffs as the No. 1 seed yet failed to win the title. Perhaps this is the year Choate puts it all together. Choate starts regular season play Sept. 17 against Phillips Exeter.
4 Pingree School South Hamilton, MA 0-0-0
With a pair of Division I early commits, Pingree might be right back in the B bracket title hunt. The team has to replace a pair of key graduates from last year's Prep Top 10 No. 2 squad. Pingree starts regular season play Sept. 10 against No. 10 Groton.
5 Loomis Chaffee Windsor, CT 0-0-0
At No. 5, it starts getting difficult. Just about every team from No. 3 down had at least four losses last year, showing the relative competitive balance among the higher end prep schools. Loomis starts regular season play Sept. 17 against Sacred Heart.
6 Tabor Academy Marion, MA 0-0-0
Tabor opens regular season play Sept. 17 against Brooks School.
7 Noble and Greenough Dedham, MA 0-0-0
Nobles opens regular season play Sept. 10 against Pomfret.
8 Worcester Academy Worcester, MA 0-0-0
Worcester Academy opens regular season play Sept. 14 against BB&N.
9 Taft School Watertown, CT 0-0-0
Taft School opens regular season play Sept. 14 against Sacred Heart.
10 Groton School Groton, MA 0-0-0
Groton opens regular season play Sept. 10 against Pingree.
