FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi (independent schools) Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

1 (1) Eastern Voorhees, NJ 21-0-0
Rutgers commit Riley Tiernan scored four goals and added six assists as Eastern posted three wins last week, including a third win this season over former SIMA FAB 50-ranked Shawnee. Eastern players Sara Brocious, a Rutgers commit, and Kelli McGroarty, a La Salle commit, were named to the High School All-American Game.
2 (2) Beavercreek Beavercreek, OH 19-0-0
Beavercreek was pushed to the brink, but survived for a district final shootout win over St. Ursula, extending the program's state-record win streak to 43 matches. The Beavers' clash with St. Ursula was scoreless before the defending state champs emerged with a 5-4 shootout win. Dayton commit Diana Benigno was named to the High School All-American Game.
3 (3) Portland Jesuit Portland, OR 14-0-1
Portland Jesuit shut out Southridge and Sunset to cap a third straight undefeated regular season. Also, this past week, Notre Dame commit Mary Votava, Washington commit Callan Harrington and Army commit Jaiden McClellan were named to the High School All-American Game.
4 (4) Anthony Wayne Whitehouse, OH 19-0-0
Hannah Rybicki scored 26 seconds into the match as Anthony Wayne rolled to a 4-1 district final win over Perrysburg. Rybicki had two goals and one assist in the match. The Generals next move into the regional semifinals against Clay.
5 (5) Brentwood Brentwood, TN 14-0-0
After beating regionally ranked Ravenwood by one goal for the third time this year for the regional title, Brentwood rolled to a 5-0 victory over Gallatin in the sectional match. The latter win sends Brentwood into the state quarterfinals, which were postponed until next week. Goalkeeper and Vanderbilt commit Kate Devine was named to the High School All-American Game.
6 (6) Noblesville Noblesville, IN 16-0-3
Sydney Anderson scored with 1:10 left in overtime to lift Noblesville past Penn 2-1 and into next week's state final against defending champ and also undefeated Carmel. Noblesville's victory was full of emotional swings. It appeared Jenna Chatteron's goal would stand as the game winner, but Penn scored with only 3 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime. The Millers will be making their first state final appearance since 2008.
7 (7) Carmel Carmel, IN 18-0-3
Olivia Fray scored the lone goal as Carmel edged Castle 1-0 to advance to this week's state final and a showdown with Noblesville. Both teams are undefeated and they tied their regular season meeting. Junior Erin Baker had seven saves and recorded the shutout in a match where Carmel was outshot and needed Baker's play to stay in the match. Valparaiso commit Kelsie James was named to the High School All-American Game.
8 (8) Lakota West West Chester, OH 18-0-2
Ohio State commit and 5-star prospect Kailyn Dudukovich scored all three goals as Lakota West claimed its first district title since 2001 with a 3-0 win over Dayton Carroll. The Firebirds advance to face Seton in the regional semifinals.

McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 14-1-0
Baylee DeSmit's late goal lifted McDonogh to a 1-0 victory over SIMA FAB 50 No. 12 Archbishop Spalding in a clash of Maryland private school powers. The result puts the Eagles back in the Top and give the team the No. 1 seed in the upcoming IAAM A playoffs, where they could again see Spalding, or even No. 14 Mercy. Tennessee commit Lily McCarthy and Bucknell commit Kallista Wethern were named to the High School All-American Game.

Sacred Heart Academy Louisville, KY 24-1-2
Gracie Leith scored the lone goal as Sacred Heart Academy defeated South Oldham 1-0 to advance to this week's state semifinals. Next up is a clash with state-ranked Highlands in the state semifinals.

Smithtown West Smithtown, NY 13-0-1
Smithtown West ended regular season play with a pair of 3-1 victories. Nicole Menella scored twice in the team's win over Newfield. Stephanie Schubert scored a pair of goals in the win over Connetquot, which ended the regular season.

Archbishop Spalding Severn, MD 12-1-1
Archbishop Spalding's undefeated season ended with a 1-0 setback to rival McDonogh in the tams' regular season finale. Both teams enter the IAAM playoffs as favorites to both get back to the final. Either McDonogh or Spalding has won over IAAM A Conference title since 2008.
13 (13) Montclair Montclair, NJ 15-0-2
Georgetown commit Claire Manning and Sydney Masur, both juniors, scored the goals to lead Montclair to a 2-1 win over Millburn. The win over state-ranked Millburn came on the heels of a tie with Livingston.

Mercy Baltimore, MD 13-2-0
Mercy closed out the regular season with a 3-2 win over St. Paul's. The Magic, with a first-round playoff win, could meet Archbishop Spalding in the IAAM A semifinals this week.

Strongsville Strongsville, OH 15-2-2
Libby Majka scored twice and Shelby Sallee and Ohio State commit Coley Sidloski added goals as Strongsville pulled away in the second half for a 4-0 district final win over Westlake. The Mustangs advance to the regional semifinals where they will face Berea-Midpark.

St. Anthony's Melville, NY 11-2-2
Nicole Gordon had a goal and one assist as St. Anthony's defeated Sacred Heart 2-0, completing an undefeated ru through league play. Virginia commit Brianna Jablonowski was named to the High School All-American Game.

Walsh Jesuit Cuyahoga Falls, OH 16-0-3
Vanderbilt commit Sophia Gorsky got Walsh Jesuit's offensive going with a goal in the 66th minute and Cleveland State commit Kathryn Ramicone added two later as the Warriors defeated Twinsburg 3-0 in the district final. Gorski and Xavier commit Morgan Pentz were named to the High School All-American Game.

Faith Lutheran Las Vegas, NV 18-0-1
Amelia McManus and Camille Longabardi scored the goals as Faith Lutheran won a key league match over Palo Verde. The Crusaders then wrapped up the regular season with an 11-0 thrashing of Eldorado.

Medina Medina, OH 15-2-2
Medina made up for one of its losses with a 3-0 victory over Brunswick in the district final. The reward for the Bees? A date with another SIMA FAB 50-ranked team -- Massillon Jackson -- in the regional semifinals. Medina has 1-0 losses to Brunswick and Strongsville this season, but the rematch with Brunswick turned out much different. Freshman Kayla Perfect scored the opener, assisted by Miami (Ohio) commit Haley Anspach. Anspach scored the second goal, and Riley Kerber added the clincher in the closing 75 seconds for the 3-0 victory.

Cumberland Valley Mechanicsburg, PA 17-2-1
Caroline Schulz's second goal of the game lifted Cumberland Valley to a 3-2 win over Conestoga Valley in the District 3-AAAA playoffs. The victory sends CV into this week's district semifinals against regionally-ranked Ephrata, the No. 4 seed. Ephrata knocked out Central Dauphin in the quarterfinals, leaving CV and Ephrata the favorites to win the district title. The loser of this Tuesday's clash will need to win the consolation match on Saturday to advance to the state playoffs.

Christian Academy-Louisville Louisville, KY 16-1-2*
Season Complete. Kentucky 7th Region semifinalist.
School Facts: Private, 1,650 students at the Louisville campus.
NOTES: Led by Xavier commit Olivia Lawson, Christian Academy-Louisville delivered its greatest season to date. Early in the season the Centurions upended Sacred Heart 1-0 to even a national ranking, but lost Sacred Heart in the playoffs 1-0 to end its undefeated run. Lawson finished with 53 goals.

Briarcrest Christian Memphis, TN 15-1-1
Briarcrest Christian defeated Harpeth Hall 2-0 last week to advance to the state semifinals, which were scheduled for this week. Heavy rain at the state tournament venue has forced state officials to postpone the girls soccer tournament for a week, meaning Briarcrest's next match will be Nov. 7. Mississippi commit Sydney Ham was named to the High School All-American Game.

West Salem Salem, OR 11-0-3
The only team to put a blemish on Portland Jesuit's record in the past three seasons, West Salem finally inches up into the Top 25. Despite the undefeated record, it appears West Salem will start the Oregon state playoffs as the No. 5 seed in the 32-team field. The Titans defeated Sprague and Summit last week to cap the undefeated regular season.

King Philip has raced up the rankings following a perfect start, which included a Hockomock league title-winning win over Attleboro last week.

Southington Southington, CT 12-0-1
Southington's hot start was slowed by a tie with state-ranked Farmington last week. The Blue Knights bounced back with a 6-0 win over Rocky Hill.
