Week in Consideration: October 2- 8

D2 Men’s Player of the Week: Christian Hatley, Lander(m)

In a sensational, creative performance, Hatley assisted five goals to lead the Bearcats to a 6-1 victory over Georgia Southwestern.

D2 Men’s Team of the Week: Fort Hays State(m)

Undefeated Fort Hays State made a case as a national contender this week, hitting the road to defeat No. 8 Rogers State 4-0 and Southern Nazarene 2-1.


 

D3 Men’s Player of the Week: Ethan Wirtschafter, Washington (Mo.)(m)

The Bears faced No. 12 Bearden in a highly anticipated matchup, and Wirtschafter dazzled with a stunning hat trick to propel a 4-0 win. 

D3 Men’s Team of the Week: Whitman(m)

Whitman entertained with two high-scoring victories on the road, first defeating Lewis & Clark 4-2, then George Fox University 4-3.


 

NAIA Men’s Player of the Week: Drew Darnold, Northwestern (Ia.)(m)

Continuing his breakout season, the sophomore forward buried a hat trick and assisted another goal to sink Mount Marty 5-1, then struck again with a goal and assist to edge Blair Cliff 3-2.

NAIA Men’s Team of the Week: Dordt(m)

The Iowa-based program stunned the country over the week, toppling No. 11 Bellevue 4-2, then battling on the road to hold Morningside to a 0-0 draw despite playing a large chunk with ten men.
