Genavieve Fontes is the Player of the Week after four goals and two game-winning showings for UC Davis.

The first came in a virtuoso performance as a substitute, scoring the first and third goals in a convincing 3-0 defeat of Utah Valley. And rewarded with her first start of the season versus LSU, the California native delivered once again with the opening goal, then the 83rd-minute game-winner in a thrilling 4-3 victory. It has been a magnificent return to play for a redshirt junior who missed all of last season with injury.

Player of the Week: Genavieve Fontes, UC Davis
Women’s Team of the Week: September 9-15
GK: Maddie Alexander, Indiana State - The Michigan native was unbeatable this week with ten saves and none conceded in a draw with Eastern Illinois and a 1-0 defeat of SIUE.
D: Jade Rose, Harvard - Rose put in one of the most dominant defensive performances of the season with a goal and two assists versus Wisconsin-Milwaukee, emphasized by a highlight-reel solo strike.
D: Alex Morris, Oklahoma State - Oklahoma State has yet to concede this season, and Morris played an important role with two starts and two assists in defeats of Baylor and Texas A&M-Commerce.
D: Lauren Lapomarda, Texas - Lapomarda dominated Houston Christian with 90 minutes played, plus a goal and assist to aid in the 3-0 victory.
M: Genavieve Fontes, UC Davis - Four goals spread evenly in wins over Utah Valley and LSU sees the California native earn Player of the Week honors.
M: Eliza Turner, Georgetown - The senior attacker was the difference for Georgetown as she scored all three of their goals in a 2-2 draw with South Carolina and a 1-0 defeat of Princeton.
M: Julia Thasaphong, Oral Roberts - The Icelandic midfielder was on fire with a goal versus Missouri State and another two strikes versus Little Rock to help the team win both matches.
M: Kiara Pralle, Lipscomb - Lipscomb earned a big 4-1 win versus Mississippi thanks to a sensational hat trick from their senior midfielder.
F: Chloe Pattison, Eastern Washington - Pattison found the net on four occasions, first with two goals and an assist to defeat San Jose State 4-1, then another two strikes in an eventual 4-2 loss to San Diego State.
F: Catherine Barry, South Carolina - In an eventful week, Barry scored an 87th-minute equalizer versus Georgetown, followed by a hat trick in the 6-0 defeat of Georgia State.
F: Taliana Kaufusi, Utah - The hometown star was a clutch performer all week, assisting the lone goal to defeat Arizona, then firing a hat trick to down Idaho State 4-1.
