New Hampshire Inks Nine for 2015 season

The men's soccer program at the University of New Hampshire is pleased to announce the addition of nine student-athletes for the upcoming 2015 season. Seven of the signees will arrive as freshmen while two will transfer from other collegiate programs.

The squad's new freshman class includes Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.), Pat Fallon (Swarthmore, Pa.), Camden McCusker (Hartford, Conn.), Nick Miller (Lebanon, Pa.), Ben Noel (Williamsville, N.Y.), Adam Norman (Wellesley, Ma.) and Sonachi Umeh (Gardena, Calif.).

The Wildcats Welcome Grei Mujko (Brooklyn, N.Y.), a transfer from Saint  Francis College (N.Y.) and Jake Fredrikson (Puyallup, Wash.), who comes to UNH after playing one season at the University of Washington.

Arling, a midfielder, comes to UNH after spending the last two years playing with the New England Revolution's U.S. Soccer Development Academy squad. Arling is ranked as the No. 92-recruit in the Class of 2015 by College Soccer News. In 2014, he helped the Revolution U18 team to Development Academy Playoffs, and this season is the U18 squad's leading goal scorer with six goals through 14 games. Prior to his time with the Revolution, Arling played with Seacoast United's Development Academy squad, and has been selected on three occasions to participate in U.S. Soccer Regional Training Centers. Arling's brother Noah is also a current member of the UNH squad, and his mother is a former UNH volleyball player.

Fallon, a 6-3 goalkeeper, becomes a Wildcat after a decorated career at both the high school and club level. Fallon played his freshman, sophomore, and senior seasons for Archmere Academy. He played his junior year with Continental FC Delco's U.S. Soccer Development Academy squad. While at Archmere, Fallon was an all-state selection twice and as a senior was selected as a Blue-Gold Senior All-Star by the Delaware High School Soccer Coaches Association. After playing in the Development Academy with FC Delco as a junior, Fallon is currently playing with Kirkwood Soccer Club, one of the top non-Development Academy squads in the country. Currently ranked No. 39 nationally, Fallon's Kirkwood team is the defending Delaware state champions and recently finished first in the prestigious Generation Adidas Bethesda Tournament.

McCusker, a 6-2 defender, joins the Wildcats after completing a decorated career at the Loomis Chaffee School. McCusker has been a three-year member of the Loomis Chaffee varsity squad, helping the team to three straight NEPSAC Class-A playoff appearances. During his senior season, McCusker anchored the backline for Loomis while also adding four goals as the team posted an undefeated regular season record (17-0-2), won the 2014 Founders League and Western New England Championships and received the No. 1 seed in the NEPSAC playoffs. For his contributions to the Loomis Chaffee program, McCusker has twice been recognized as a NEPSAC All-Star. McCusker currently plays club soccer for FSA United FC. 

Miller, a defender, has played the last three years in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy with PA Classics. During the 2013-14 season, Miller anchored the back line for the Classics U16 squad that posted a 0.68 goals against average, making them the strongest defensive squad in the country and helping to qualify the team for the playoffs as a No. 1 seed. During the current season Miller, has started every game for the Classics U18 squad. Miller also plays basketball at the high school and AAU levels. His high school won the 2014 Lebanon Lancaster League title with his Cedar Crest and his AAU team earned the 2014 East Coast Division III national championship.

Noel, a forward, joins the Wildcats after spending the last two years with the Empire Revolution U.S. Soccer Development Academy squad. A Top Drawer Soccer 4-star recruit, Noel has been a focal point in Empire's attack the last two seasons, leading the U16 squad with five goals through 17 starts during the 2013-14 campaign and logging three goals through eight starts during the current Development Academy campaign with Empire's U18 team.

Norman, a left-footed defender and midfielder, arrives in Durham after playing with the New England Revolution's U.S. Soccer Development Academy squad from 2012 to 2014, and most recently with New England Football Club's U18 team. Norman's step away from the Development Academy this fall allowed him to play his senior season for Wellesley High School, where he was named as the Bay State Conference Herget Division MVP and a Boston Globe All-Star and all-state selection after posting 10 goals and four assists for the Raiders. While playing with the Revolution, Norman helped the U18 squad to the Development Academy national finals in 2013 and to the 2014 Development Academy playoffs.

Umeh, a midfielder with the versatility to play anywhere along the right flank, comes to UNH from North High School in Torrance, Calif. Umeh plays club soccer for Beach FC in Southern California's Developmental Soccer League where he has scored four goals and two assists through 10 games this year while playing primarily as a right back. Umeh also recently led his Beach FC team to a second place finish in the nationally recognized Nomads Cup. Sonachi has starred for North High School the last two years and currently serves as the team captain with the winter high school season about to complete play in Calif.

Mujko, an outside midfielder, will join the Wildcats this fall after transferring from Saint Francis College (N.Y.), where the freshman started five games and played in 16 matches for the Northeast Conference Champion Terriers. Prior to Saint Francis, Mujko played for Albertson Soccer Club in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy and at New Utrecht High School where he was honored as an all-Brooklyn and all-conference honoree his senior season. Mujko, who was born in Durres, Albania, will major in business administration and sports studies at New Hampshire.

Fredrikson, a freshman transfer goalkeeper, becomes a Wildcat for the spring 2015 semester and will begin training with the team immediately. Fredrikson was a four-year standout in goal for Rogers High School in Puyallup, Wash., prior to his time at the University of Washington. While at Rogers High School, Fredrikson set school records for most career games started, most career shutouts, and most single season shutouts. He was an all-state selection his junior and senior seasons and was the SPSL 4A League MVP his senior season. Fredrikson played club soccer with Washington Premier FC. He will be majoring in chemical engineering at UNH.
