At the moment, the one thing Ryan Morris loves the most also happens to be one of the hardest things for him to do.

Soccer should be the last of his worries, considering it’s the first of his passions. But with snow having hijacked New Jersey for much of this winter, finding a time or place to play hasn’t been easy as of late.

“Whether it is at 6 a.m. or on a Sunday morning or 11 p.m. on a Saturday night, we manage to get it done,” said Morris, a Top 20 New Jersey player for the 2011 class. “Everyone on the team is dedicated and excited about the upcoming season. Regardless of the many challenges that I face, I never let any of it get in the way of success and playing the game to the best of my ability.”

And that, in a sentence, is the essence of Morris as a soccer player.

The NJSA 04 winger is a player who spent the early part of his career driving an hour just to train. There isn’t a distance he won’t travel for the game, and soccer has reciprocated. Morris’ dedication will take him to West Virginia next year for the next phase of his career.

And wouldn’t you know it? West Virginia’s training facilities are right on campus; plus, they have indoor options if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

This college soccer thing should be cake for Morris.

The rest of our New Jersey Top 20 Lists feature players most definitely headed to the next level, including Ross Tetro (2012), Ismar Tandir (2013), Brandon Tetro (2014) and Wesley Wade (2015).

The girls of New Jersey include Danielle Colaprico, Kristen McNabb (2012), Madison Tiernan (2013), Sabrina Flores (2014) and Taylor Racioppi (2015).
