U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team head coach Jeremy Hall has named a 20-player roster for the team’s upcoming international training camp to be held June 1-9 in Oliva, Spain.
During the camp the U-18 MNT will play friendlies against Sweden U-18 on June 5 and Qatar U-19 on June 8 with both matches kicking off at 11 a.m. ET / 5 p.m. local time.
Eleven of the 12 U.S.-based clubs represented on the roster are from Major League Soccer, with three selectionscoming from Real Salt Lake and two from Philadelphia Union. The domestic contingent is rounded out by a player apiece from Charlotte FC, FC Cincinnati, Columbus Crew, LAFC, LA Galaxy, Inter Miami, New England Revolution, New York City FC, St. Louis City, Seattle Sounders, as well as USL Championship side Orange County SC.
Three players come from foreign clubs Chelsea FC (England), Sporting Lisbon (Portugal) and Parma (Italy). One player is currently unattached.
The camp is part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
All players were born on or after Jan. 1, 2008.
