Coastal Carolina adds five to 2015 roster

Coastal Carolina University head men's soccer coach Shaun Docking announced the addition of five student-athletes for the spring semester Wednesday. Collegiate transfers Fernando Pina, Ryan Reid, Bryan Seefeld, Darius Strambler and Tobbenna Uzo are currently enrolled at Coastal Carolina and have joined the team for offseason workouts.

Fernando Pina
6-0, 180, Goalkeeper
Houston, Texas / Challenge Early College HS / Univ. of Akron

Prior to Coastal Carolina: Enters Coastal as a rising sophomore after spending two seasons at Akron … Redshirted as a true freshman (2012) and did not play collegiate soccer in 2014 … At Akron: 2013 (Redshirt Freshman): All-MAC First Team honoree ... Started the first 18 matches of the season, finishing with a record of 14-3-1 and posting eight shutouts and a GAA of 0.62 in 1,731 minutes ... Logged three-game shutout streaks twice during the fall ... Notched clean sheets against Bowling Green (Sept. 21), Ohio State (Sept. 24) and West Virginia (Sept. 29) in consecutive fashion, then did so again against No. 15 Wake Forest (Oct. 15), Buffalo (Oct. 18) and No. 17 Michigan State (Oct. 23) ... Helped the Warhawks to a 13-7-2 record and a third-place conference finish in the Classic 8 ... Was starting goalkeeper for his FC Milwaukee club team.

Darius Strambler

ODP Region III member with current rising Chanticleer sophomore Martin Melchor.
