Oklahoma State received national letters of intent today from a pair of in-state high school forwards.

Joining head coach Colin Carmichael’s Cowgirls as freshmen this fall will be Norman’s Haley Woodard and Marlo Zoller, who hails from Tulsa and is a product of Jenks High School.

“These two young ladies will add to our offensive options immediately,” Carmichael said. “They are both extremely gifted athletes who possess the ability to score goals. I expect them both to come in and have an impact on our team as freshmen.”

Haley Woodard, F, Norman, Okla. (North HS/Fury ’96-97/OFC ’96/TSC Hurricane ECNL ’97) – A multi-sport standout during her career at Norman North High School, Woodard led the Timberwolves to a Class 6A state soccer championship as junior, earning first-team all-conference honors after racking up 15 goals and 10 assists. She has also starred for the Norman Fury Soccer Club and is currently a member of TSC Hurricane ’97 ECNL coached by Kerry Shubert.

Early in her prep career, Woodard was a star sprinter on the track. As a freshman, she was a state champion in the 400-meter dash, and she followed that by capturing the 200- and 400-meter titles as a sophomore.

On the basketball court, Woodard is a two-time all-conference performer who led NNHS to the Class 6A State Tournament in both 2013 and 2014 and averaged 13.6 points per game as a junior.

Carmichael on Woodard: “Haley will be one of the fastest players in the Big 12 Conference, and she will give us the ability to stretch the opposing team’s defense and create many scoring opportunities for our team.”

Marlo Zoller, F, Tulsa, Okla. (Jenks HS/TSC Hurricane ECNL ’97) – A star for coach Kerry Shubert’s TSC Hurricane ’97 squad, Zoller participated in the ECNL id2 Player Development Program and is a member of the Region III Olympic Development team.

At Jenks High School, Zoller has been a standout for the Trojans since setting the JHS freshman scoring record with 28 goals and nine assists. As a sophomore, she racked up 15 goals and nine assists and led JHS to the Class 6A state title game, and she followed that with nine goals and six assists as a junior.

Zoller is listed as a four-star recruit by TopDrawerSoccer.com and is No. 36 on the Girls IMG Academy Top 150. TDS.com also regards her as the top-rated forward in the South Region and the 14th-best forward nationally.

Carmichael on Zoller: “Marlo is a very dangerous attacking player. She plays at a high intensity level and is a fierce competitor. Her ability to score goals will improve our team’s offensive output.”
