Five Things: WCC surprise, Asom firing
Time is running out on the regular season.

San Francisco, Loyola Marymount leading the WCC race
When surveying the West Coast Conference standings towards the end of each season, Pepperdine, BYU or Santa Clara tends to hold the top spot.
This year is providing a new twist. On the back of last week’s action – including San Francisco’s 2-1 home win against BYU – the Dons and Loyola Marymount sit on the summit of the WCC standings tied at 15 points. Santa Clara and BYU are both two points behind after drawing 0-0 against each other in California on Saturday.
