TDS Women's Division I Top 25: Oct. 23
What a year it's been for the Duke women's soccer team.
With one game left in the regular season, the Blue Devils have rattled off 16 straight wins prior to Thursday night's finale at Charlottesville against Virginia.
While Stanford's excellence has kept Duke out of the top perch, the Blue Devils moved into the No. 2 spot, taking advantage of UCLA's first loss of the season and South Carolina's 1-1 draw on Sunday against Georgia.
A win against Virginia would seal an ACC regular season title for the Blue Devils, and a point would clinch at least a share of the crown. Rivals North Carolina, which actually defeated Duke at the start of the season in a non-conference game, is two points behind with a game to play.
South Carolina, UNC and USC round out the latest top five.
