TopDrawerSoccer Women's DI Top 25: Oct. 1
October 1, 2018
There's little doubt that Stanford faced its biggest test of the 2018 season last week. And the Cardinal rose to the challenge.
Hosting UCLA last Thursday and USC on Sunday, the Cardinal picked up a pair of one goal victories, topping the Bruins 3-2 and defeating USC 1-0 on Sophie Smith's overtime goal.
Thanks to Stanford's win, North Carolina slotted into the No. 2 spot, defeating Louisville 5-1 on Saturday, sitting at 4-0 in ACC play.
Santa Clara, Georgetown and Washington State all dot the Top 10 at this point in the season, with the Cougars maintainting their perfect start to the season with another pair of Pac-12 wins over the weekend.
