Virginia-North Carolina match canceled
October 7, 2020
Thursday's marquee matchup between Virginia and North Carolina has been postponed, both programs announced on Wednesday.
The combination of injuries and potential COVID exposures has been cited as the reason. Virginia has been hit hard by injuries this year; Taryn Torres has yet to play a game, Alexa Spaanstra has played just three games while Talia Staude was absent from last week's games against Pitt and Miami. Diana Ordonez and Laurel Ivory missed Sunday's games against Miami.
