Stanford #1; Taylor Player of the Week

Stanford #1; Taylor Player of the Week
November 28, 2011

Stanford remains the #1 team in the nation after its overtime NCAA Tournament quarterfinal win against Oklahoma State on Friday. Paul Ratcliffe’s undefeated Cardinal squad continues to be the favorite to bring home the top prize, the only thing missing from its accomplishment list after an incredible run of success over the past four seasons.

The TopDrawerSoccer.com Tournament 64 National Ranking is a running effort to project the postseason NCAA field, and then reflects the result of the tournament each week as it progresses. This  puts Stanford at a firm #1 followed by ACC teams Florida State, Wake Forest and Duke, who also will be vying for the national title this weekend at the College Cup in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Also, Lindsay Taylor is our Player of the Week, headlining the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week following her role in the Stanford win on the weekend. Taylor scored a winner in overtime to lift the Cardinal over Oklahoma State and help the squad advance to the national semifinals.
