This year's MLS season begins on Saturday, with the shifting landscape of U.S. Soccer continuing to swirl all around it.
While organizations continue to plow money into the academies, it remains a tricky task for domestic teenagers to make the jump from an academy to a first-team setting. MLS NEXT Pro remains a work in progress in that regard as well.
As is tradition, TDS is revealing its Top 50 prospects to watch for in the league. To be eligible, players must be born on January 1, 2005 or after. They must have played fewer than 3,000 league minutes, and must be under contract with MLS (not Next Pro and not on loan). Along with that, players must be eligible for the United State, Mexico and Canada. Rankings are an attempt to project top, up-and-coming talent in the league. It's an attempt to also balance a players near-term impact and long term future.
Top 50 Rankings: Nos. 41-50 | 31-40 | 21-30 | 11-20 | 1-10
Links will be added each day throughout the week, leading up to the 2025 season beginning on February 22.
